At ProCo, we believe that the finishing of a piece is as important as the printing, so we are pleased to say that all our finishing is done in house by our own people. Whether the job needs trimming, creasing, folding, die cutting or laminating, we control the whole process ensuring product integrity at all times. And we don’t use just anyone to do it either – our team has been finishing print for 14 years and is as passionate about perfing as our customers are about creative design.
But a job is not finished until it is ready to go out the door to be delivered and at ProCo we know this to the letter! 3 volume enclosing machines work day and night to ensure our direct mail work is inserted, sealed and caged ready to be collected.
If the product is something a bit different – that’s ok too! We have 50 pairs of hands per shift in our hand finishing department that specialises in completing those projects that require the personal touch, and that can't be done by machine. In fact, many people use us for this service even if they haven’t had anything printed! Light bulbs, shoelaces, cake, fire engines, pints of milk – you name it, we’ve created a bespoke marketing campaign for somebody using it!!
We do outsource our specialist finishing processes but we make sure we use specialists whom we have approved through our ISO9001 process. Perfect binding, spine sowing, case binding, foiling, embossing, spot UV, and silver latex – in fact, working for many of the UK’s leading design agencies means we have seen and been requested for every possibility; although we are always prepared for a surprise!
